Capacity Building

Building stronger communities, supports and opportunities so people with developmental disabilities can live full lives.

What this goal means

The Council will support programs and practices that help people with developmental disabilities live full lives in their communities. This includes supporting innovation, strengthening the workforce, promoting inclusion and health, and building community capacity that creates lasting change.

What we want to see

People with developmental disabilities and their families will benefit from stronger communities, innovative supports, and greater opportunities to live, work, and participate fully in community life.
