2019 A Chance to Parent Conference

“TASP: A Chance to Parent” Conference is coming  to Seattle October 28-29 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront.  The theme is “Turning the Tide:  Improving Outcomes with Inclusive and Interdisciplinary Practices.”

The conference will bring together researchers, lawmakers, attorneys, social workers, service providers, parents and others to learn how to best support families headed by parents with intellectual or developmental disabilities and change discriminatory practices.

Sessions will focus on a wide range of topics, including the application of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in relation to child welfare cases.

Through a parent panel presentation, breakout sessions, keynote presentations, and a reception, attendees will be able to share knowledge and network among a broad scope of stakeholders,  gaining knowledge and connections that can be applied across all disabilities.
