DSHS is excited to share a few updates about Dan Thompson Memorial Account grant funding. These grants go towards innovative community-driven projects that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Washington state.
Current Dan Thompson grant awards are improving access to recreation, transportation, and innovative technology. Some examples of grant-funded activities include wheelchair-accessible transportation support, bocce ball, kayaking, accessible nature trails, online gaming cohorts, Brick to Brick LEGO® clubs, and many more.
You can learn more about new grant-funded projects in your area by visiting the DSHS DDA Dan Thompson website, which has a list of all grant awardees with a brief description of the grant projects, where they are located, and links to their websites.
Be on the lookout for more grant award announcements very soon! If you have questions, please reach out to the Dan Thompson grant program by email at danthompsonaccount@dshs.wa.gov.
