Noah Seidel serves on the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council as an agency representative representing Disability Rights Washington. A Council member for two years, Noah also works as the Region 3 Ombuds for the Office of Developmental Disabilities Ombuds (ODDO). ODDO is a private, independent office working to improve the lives of people with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesin Washington.
Noah is adisabled advocate who works to support people with disabilities to live a fulllife and engage in social change. A graduate of the University of Washington,Noah earned a degree in Disability Studies, Political Science, and ComparativeHistory of Ideas. His career and advocacy work reflect a deep commitment toadvancing disability rights by supporting people with disabilities and promotingdisability equality.
Throughhis service on the DDC, Noah has contributed to key initiatives such as compensationfor members with lived experience, the passage of the Nothing About UsWithout Us bill, and the Bridge Forward Conference where he participated as a speaker in the keynote Washington Leadership Panel: What's Happening Across the State—each advancing inclusion and equity in meaningful ways.
Noah’s work is also part of a larger collaboration known as the Washington DD Network Partners. The DD Council is one of three partners established under the federal Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, alongside the UW Center forExcellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and Disability Rights Washington—the state’s Protection and Advocacy System, where Noah serves as a representative.
