My passion for social justice for individuals with disabilities began when I became a direct support professional right out of college in 1998. Since then, I have held multiple roles at the Home and Community Living Administration Developmental Disabilities Community Services (formerly the Developmental Disabilities Administration). I am currently the Deputy Director for Quality, Compliance and Training. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, boating/fishing, hiking and shopping for antiques. I also love spending time with my partner, our 3 fur babies and our 3 kids when they come home to visit.
The Home and Community Living Administration Developmental Disabilities Community Services is transforming lives by providing support and fostering partnerships that empower people to live the lives they want. People with developmental disabilities and their families are valued citizens of the state of Washington. The Developmental Disabilities Administration strives to develop and implement public policies that will promote individual worth, self-respect, and dignity such that each individual is valued as a contributing member of the community
