Benefit U is a website that helps people understand and manage their benefits, like Social Security and Medicaid. It provides easy-to-use tools and information to show how work and other changes can affect these benefits, helping people make informed choices.

Angela Dirk, Senior Benefits Planner with Benefit U, gave a presentation at the October 2024 Council meeting on Benefit U's services and how Community Compensation (money that the Council pays Council members for their participation in Council meetings) can affect benefits and when members need to report their Community Compensation payments as income to Social Security.
