Growing leadership and advocacy opportunities for families, youth and emerging leaders from communities that have been underrepresented.

What we plan to do

The Council will partner with community organizations to provide multilingual, culturally responsive leadership development and mentoring for families, youth, and emerging leaders with IDD, with a focus on Tribal, rural, and underrepresented communities.

What success looks like

More family members, youth with developmental disabilities and community leaders from diverse communities participate in advocacy and leadership opportunities and have greater confidence and skills to create change.
