Building skills, confidence and leadership opportunities so people with developmental disabilities can speak up, make decisions and create change.
What we plan to do
The Council will strengthen self-advocacy and peer leadership by supporting self-advocacy organizations across Washington through training, mentoring, and collaboration.
Key activity
Developing Self-Advocacy
What success looks like
More self-advocates have the confidence, knowledge and opportunities to speak up, influence policy and serve in leadership and decision-making roles. Self-advocacy groups also have stronger leadership and participation.
