Helping people with developmental disabilities and their families speak up, lead and shape decisions that affect their lives.
The Council will support people with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families in speaking up for what they need, sharing their experiences, and working together for change. The Council will strengthen self-advocacy, grow diverse leadership, protect rights, improve access to information, and coordinate statewide public policy efforts that turn collaboration into meaningful action.
People with developmental disabilities and their families have more opportunities to advocate for themselves, influence decisions, and work together to improve their communities.
